Located on the heights of the city, the place is also a tea room to allow guests to enjoy in a chic and casual, Scandinavian fashion, all kinds of gluten-free cookies, desserts and cakes. On the salty side, La Madaloun offers a whole range of snacking: quiches, pissaladieres (a specialty from Nice) and sandwiches. Everything is gluten-free - celiac will appreciate! For the story, it is for her mother, gluten intolerant, that Céline, the pastry-chef began to cook! Her products tend also to be reduced in sugar and fat. Céline sought to reduce the amount of sugar and diversify the sources by using agave syrup, organic honey or coconut sugar. Peanut is also totally absent.
Sweet, as salty, everything is homemade and Céline takes care to adapt to the dietary constraints of customers so that everyone can enjoy her pastries. However, Celine can adapt eliminate dairy products or eggs or nuts (especially almond) of her preparations if you order 4 to 5 days in advance.
You can buy your gluten-free bread, and a variety of small rice flour, corn and millet, if you order 24 hours to 48 hours in advance (to be sure to have some).
Celine's creations vary throughout the year: Christmas log, galette des rois (King’s Cake), bugnes, pancakes, Easter buns ...
On sunny days, you can enjoy a cold or hot beverage on the terrace, or prefer being inside, as the room is air conditioned. Gluten-free pastry workshops are regularly organized, you will find all the information on the Facebook page of the pastry shop. Madaloun can finally be your private pastry chef for an event (baptism, wedding, birthday ...).
